for children 4 years old through sixth grade.

The concept of JOY U

every child will be studying Jesus
finding out about serving Others
and learning about Yourself.

The format of JOY U has been updated to ensure that the program provides Biblically based learning opportunities in a fun, activity driven way every week. The program will allow a child to enter into JOY U at any time during the year and will be visitor-friendly. Children will be encouraged to bring friends and any child will be able to participate on a given Wednesday regardless of whether they have attended one time, ten times or never before.

This group will go directly to a classroom for their Bible Lesson. At 7:00pm they will move to the center room for an activity that is related to the lesson. This activity will get them moving and provide a creative way to reinforce what they have learned.

Keeping with the “university” theme, when a child arrives they will be given a University Course Schedule for the evening. Every child will attend three different courses: Learning a Bible Story (currently we are studying Genesis), playing a game to reinforce what they have learned and participating in an activity to learn a Bible verse related to the lesson.
Here is the new schedule for JOY U (2nd through 6th graders):

6:00 – 6:10 pm Opening in the center room downstairs
6:10 – 6:35 pm Course 1
6:35 – 7:00 pm Course 2
7:00 – 7:30 pm Course 3
